As most of you know Derron will be finished with his residency program in less than 15 months. June 30, 2010 to be exact, but really, who's keeping track. He has been talking with the hospital back home for a few months now and this past Friday March 28th they finally reached an agreement. The hospital is now drawing up the final contract and Derron should have it signed by the end of May. So, it is pretty much official we are moving home once we are done. We are very excited about this new chapter of our life and excited to move home.

Madison's 2nd Grade Musical "YO LEONARDO"

Madison had her 2nd grade musical on March 19th. The theme was "YO LEONARDO" they incorporated art into the musical program and some of the history of a few artists such as, Leonardo Davinci, Jackson Pollack, Van Goh, and Michaelangelo. It was a lot of fun to watch. All of the kids did so well and Madison was awesome!! She could definitely have a career in music theatre. She has so much personality and it really shines on stage. We are so proud of her. I will try to post a slide show of the pics later and hopefully I can figure out how to take the video from the camcorder and upload it to the computer and put up a video. Check back tomorrow.

Callie's Kindergarten Enrollment, Ultrasound Update, and other things!

Today has been a beautiful Spring like day. Warm and sunny! After I picked Callie up from preschool we went to Wal-Mart to get some grocery shopping done and once we got to the van I realized that Gavin had not taken the case of water out like I had asked him to. So, I proceed to move the water and realized that he did move the water from one spot to another, just not out of the van. He moved it right onto 2 bottles of Irish Spring body wash. Which were CRUSHED and the body wash exploded all over the back of my van. Gavin had to clean this mess up when he got home. Now my garage and driveway smell like Irish Spring!

Callie and I went to pick Madison and Gavin up from school today and as soon as Madison gets in the van she hands me some papers. KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT INFO for Callie. I calmly take the papers and when we get home...I call Derron crying. I am not as ready for this as I thought I would be. She's the baby and I am not ready for her to be gone all day everyday at school.

Our ultrasound to determine the gender of the baby has been rescheduled to April 7, 2009 @ 4:30. Derron had a work issue on the 6th so we had to change the date and they would not schedule it earlier. So, we will all have to wait a little longer.

Spring Break Part 2 (The Wizard of OZ exhibit)

I took the girls to see The Wizard of Oz Exhibit down at Crown Center on Friday. They had so much fun! Gavin chose to go fishing with his friend Quinton and have fun guy time. So, me and the girls set off for a fun girls day. We had lunch at the Crayola Cafe. The girls loved getting cups that look like crayons. We then went down to the exhibit. I wasn't expecting much, because after all it was FREE! But, it was so nice and so much fun for the girls. They followed the yellow brick road and met all the characters along the way. They visited the Emerald Palace, the Wicked Witch's castle, and rode in a hot air balloon. It was lots of fun and they got to use their imaginations. I am working on a slide show and will post it as soon as I can. Gavin caught 1 fish on his fishing trip, but he had so much fun.

Spring Break So Far...

The kids are on Spring Break this week and we thought we would do some "spring cleaning" and try to fit in something fun. The "spring cleaning" got finished and today I thought we would go down to Crown Center to see the Wizard of Oz exhibit, but Callie had other plans. As most of you know she has Reflux of the Kidneys. Well, today we spent most of the morning and part of the afternoon at Children's Mercy South Urgent Care. Callie is fine. She has some white cells in her urine and that can cause and infection, but it is not likely. She has an appointment with her urologist on March 27 and they will run the usual test to see if her condition has improved or not. I will keep you updated on all of this. After we left she wanted to go to Longhorn to eat because she likes the bread there. And I tend to give her what ever she wants after a doctors appointment. Gavin and Madison were of course along for the ride and waited patiently at the hospital and were both rewarded with their favorite foods as well. Steak for Gavin and Mac and Cheese for Madison. Maybe we will catch the Wizard of Oz exhibit tomorrow.

1st Ultrasound Pics of Baby #4

I had my first appointment on Jan. 26, 2009. They had to do an ultrasound to determine how far along I was. So, I thought I would post the pics. You really can't tell much from them. Callie says it's the cutest oval she's ever seen. We think so too. Our next Ultrasound is scheduled for April 6 and we will find out what we are having!

New Year with A BIG surprise!

We celebrated the New Year pretty much the same way we always do. Derron was on call and in bed by 10:30. Madison and Callie were too tired to stay up and they went to bed early too. As usual this left me to stay up with Gavin who could go without sleep for days I'm sure. We watched the ball drop and off to bed I went. A few days later I decided that I would hop on the Blog bandwagon and so I attempted to start this blog. Well, I started a post and realized that I wasn't feeling well, so I put it off until later. The next morning I could hardly get out of bed, because I was so tired. The date: January 6, 2009 I got the kids dressed and ready for school, dropped them off, came home and looked at the calendar. Well, I knew something was off, but there was no way that THIS was possible. Lucky for me I always keep an EPT in the bathroom cabinet. By 10:30 am I was having a panic attack. I was PREGNANT with baby #4. Shocked, surprised, and completely knocked off my feet, I paged Derron and prayed that a nurse did not call me back. Luckily he called me back and the only thing I could get out of my mouth was, "I'm pregnant. Not sure how this one happened." Of course Mr. CALM, COOL, and COLLECTED says, "Okay, call your Dr. set up an appt." Needless to say we are thrilled and the kids are extremely excited and Callie can not wait to be a big sister. Some surprises are good, even if they take some getting used to. Anyway...it has taken me until now March 6 to finally write on our Blog. Hopefully I will be able to keep it updated.
